My point being he is not acting like a communist elite, and stealing wealth from people. He is being a capitalist and selling things to people.

China switched from a Stalin model to a Mussolini/Hitler model. What they have is not free market capitalism. All businesses have heavy government oversight, especially the successful.
replied 2855d
Sure they do not have a free market. So what? They have allowed some free market to help fund their communism. Yes they still oppress their people. How is this related?
replied 2855d
Hitler was not a communist. You are confusing things a lot with your statement. Communists often have dictators, but dictators are not necessarily communist.

The only real communists are the sucker idiots who obediently do what Dear Leader tells them to. It's a cult. You think cult leaders actually believe their teachings?
replied 2855d
Sure, but there are many types of cults. To lump them all together misses the issues they were cultish about.

The one thing they have in common is a leader who softly whispers sweet sounding lies into your ears while he picks your pocket and bangs your wife.
replied 2855d
Sure, but not all cults are the same. There are political cults, religious cults, cultural cults, etc. There are many types of different cults in each category as well.

Think cheap power and zero buisiness tax rate (in exchange for cooperation with The Party of course) has anything to do with his success?
replied 2855d
No, because the party would still want some taxes. How do you think he is cooperating with the communist party?

At the end of the day, you're not allowed to operate a multi billion dollar business in China without bowing to Xi. That's how fascism works, the dictator picks the winners and losers.
replied 2855d
That is absolutely true. It is also true that many people in China attempt to move money offshore. There are a lot in China attempting to move assets beyond the parties control.

I was talking to my Vietnamese nail tech today and the more I am learning about the Chinese gov’t the more I don’t like them
replied 2854d
Yeah, their government is horrible. They are rich and powerful though, so not much can be done. If you want to know more:

Well he certainly didn't fight the Core takeover of BTC. There's some malicious looking code about to get pushed onto BCH that doesn't solve anything and complicates everything.

He isn't a dev. He sells mining hardware. Maybe he felt he shouldn't get involved. Maybe he does or does not regret it. Ot really doesn't matter.
