Most intellectual geniuses have no social development and are easily exploited. That's why many of them settle for unchallenging jobs and we don't have flying cars.
So we should find the socially undeveloped geniuses & put them in institutes and force them to do genius stuff? Sounds like a pretty good plan.
You want someone to fly a miniature aircraft at over a hundred miles an hour with hardly any pilot training? Or are we gonna force them to pay $100k+ for flight school first?
You can have a colorful imagination all you want. But that doesn't effect the real world unless you can ground those ideas in reality. Flying cars, are inefficient and dangerous.
Put simply flying cars are horrible. Dangerous projectiles piloted by idiots or untrusted AI guzzling fuel and/or electricity and an absolute FAA nightmare.
Could probably program them to pop onto "rails". Will never happen until we got a real robust power source. I think bitcoin miners might punt on cold fusion, that'll shake things up.
Are you seriously arguing that we should use force to make intellectual prodigies work on what someone else decide that they should work on? Or are you joking and Im missing it.
