The fundraiser was created primarily to support FVNI and the work they do with groups including abc, bchd, bcash, and more. Some groups aren't working with fvni. BU is also holding /1
.. some large funds. It was decided to encourage donations to those groups in more need, but still allow users to donate to whichever implementation they use/trust/support. /2
