Why would you assume that?

Because morality requires a lot of reflexion and empathy which both are absent from animals in a very significant way.
replied 2260d
Both were once assumed to be absent in animals. Now we know it was a wrong assumption. There is very little that we have that other species do not. Larger brains is about all we have.
replied 2259d
Larger brains dont help if most people keep just using a small part of it.
replied 2259d
Everyone uses all their brain, if you are referring to the old claim that we only use 10%. It is not a good idea to make claims about brain use though when supporting communism.

I know that #LSD consumption activates large parts of the brain & that many people never use LSD so they miss out on this chance to grow consciousness: https://bit.ly/1qjEE1M

Regular Meditation grows consciousness 😉
replied 2258d
That is wrong. LSD does not activate anything normally unused. It often makes the simple seem profound though. I did enjoy it when I was young.

Wrong. Empathy and reflection in animals is way too limited to generate morality. Animals are 100% selfish even those living in social groups.
replied 2259d
Even if it was limited it still exists. Also animals are not completely selfish. I guess you are going by old information.

They are like 99.99% selfish. Not enough to get any moral values.

they are all shellfish!?!?

Yeah that is an old assumption. Turns out it was wrong.

replied 2258d
Yeah sure. Have you ever had a pet?
replied 2258d
Yes, but you should look at more than just personal experience with pets. Pets are bred for specific traits. It is better to look at studies of other species.

replied 2258d
Yeah well pet are bred to be somewhat empathic with humans. That only reenforce my point.
replied 2258d
Try looking up what studies on the subject are finding. It turns out morality is found in the animal kingdom.

Color me skeptic. Even if true, anecdotal evidence isn't the norm.
replied 2258d
Which is why you should look at the objective studies instead of your anecdotal evidence.
