Banks have taken over Bitcoin no doubt. But what happens when a Government or governments take over Bitcoin (or the primary contender). Governments are way more powerful than banks no?
Banks ARE the gov't. No way to continue the fraud, corruption, extortion or supposedly "lost trillions" if it was on blockchain.
