Will check out your proposal. Current plan is to use ECDH.

I just submitted an Issue on GitHub with what I've been working on. Hoping to get it added to the protocol.

I'm working on that; it's tricky. The proof of concept is done. Just need to submit for some Memo protocol codes.

>Trust for well-known users/entities that want to be identified and protection against duplicate names.
Isn't this sort of like twitter verified or how would you improve on it?

Alice knows Bob and Carol, and can vouch for them. Carol knows Alice but not Bob. Since Alice has vouched for Bob, Carol is more likely to trust that the user "Bob" is really Bob.

By "knows" do you mean "follows"?

Someone with a built up report. Could be a repeat customer, a friend, a buisiness partner. Could be a miner who's mined honestly since they came online.

That’s an important point I mention as follow does not imply trust and vice versa. To vouch for someone, you would have firsthand knowledge of who they are but not necessarily follow

Going to post it as an issue to the Memo GitHub account to stir up some conversation. Hopefully someone a lot smarter and better at cryptography than me can red team the concept.
