Memo is rapidly improving.

<3

Soon it's time to insist I only speak to friendrs over Memo.

Will it be possible to get notifications to show up while doing day to day activities?

Do you mean like push notifications to your phone?
replied 2372d
Push notifications could be easily added with Pushpad until you guys can build your own solution. I use it for my own site, festical.info, and it'd be so great to have them on memo

Interesting, so Pushpad is browser notifications only. Sample size of one, but I almost always reject desktop notifications and seek out native mobile notifications...

I feel the same but I figured for now its an easy solution until an app comes along. Youve already got a notification system so all you need to do is drop PP in there. 's what I did.

Hi, I noticed that mentions doesnt work yet :( Please see: https://memo.cash/post/48bfff0268e21a1c4ad6a4e8ae8dbb26acfcbbb59ed9cb9b9c5582630ef35630

Thanks for the suggestion, this is something we plan to support :)
replied 2372d
Yes! Exactly that.
replied 2373d
are you sure you want EVERYTHING public?
replied 2372d
Not exactly. It would be awesome if messages could be made private/encrypted. So that A can send to B, where only the two can see the messages or rather decrypt because they're friends
replied 2372d
There's an easy solution to this, but something that will require some attention is that there would be a public record of a message being sent between two addresses. It's semi-public.

How about a new address for every message? Or like a constantly tumbling group of addresses that double back via a cypher pattern?
replied 2372d
This would be ok. Keep it simple IMO. Make it usable and reliable. In the future you could add more complicated solutions
replied 2372d
That sounds like a worth while trade off.

Eventually, if need be, one can move across two another pair of addresses for both A & B. Like a new SIM card.

You think it will be added?
