I mean, most people have strict "border controls" on their private property, you lock your house door right? but businesses are welcoming (if you buy something or just loitering at Starbucks lol)
You are free to loiter at Starbucks as long as you buy something, but after they got in trouble for enforcing the rule they (Starbucks) discussed making it a public space, no sale need
or, no need to buy anything to be at Starbucks or use their facilities. The controversy was framed in terms of race relations, that was the wedge, but the underlying general thing is-
to remove the borders in general, that includes the walls to your house and who you chose to associate with and your personal boundaries when it denies access for others.
