Can you sale listings on this that adhere to the OB protocol, where they can look unique and quite different from the official client but function just the same?
I think OB uses a fork of IPFS. They don't run directly on the IPFS network. If I'm wrong, then I think you could do what you suggest.
There are a dozen or so public IPFS gateways, and anyone can set up their own IPFS gateway. Any IPFS gateway would work to resolve the IPFS hash.
So, while one gateway could get taken down, it's extremely unlikely that any government could take down all gateways.
Easy....right here resolved it. Or you can use CashAccounts or some other BCH based system.
I personally follow his other account which shows the current version of the website.
You could automate it by having software check the blockchain for the current status and direct toward theost up-to-date IPFS hash.
