single light source is really noticeable in films which make an effort at realism like interstellar. (I know it goes off the rails a bit. haven't seen gravity).
There are filters and effects in place to make it more palatable to our sensibilities, if Musk wanted to make a fake CGI car it would look a lot better than the real thing ironically.
