The current split reeks of being manufactured. The atmosphere of inevitability stinks of hidden agendas. Divide and conquer worked so well for Blockstream keeping doing the same is the most logical thing to do to kill
Bitcoin, to keep using the same tactic. It's perhaps the weakest link (pardon the pun) in the
blockchain, the ability to form a fork which is essentially a new coin, so all the stake holders eventually have less stakes in any or not at all in one and all in the other.
