Reading back old scaling debate discussions, and I really have to reiterate: Why did the miners care what the devs had to say.... Bitcoin is permissionless.
Why do children listen to their parents? They lack maturity to make decisions for themselves. The advent of BCH is not just the miners waking up, it is also the miners growing up.

The process of miners "growing up" is not going to stop here. As bitcoin grows, so will the sophistication and scope of the miners' business. We are just getting started.
