Just a reminder that if the BTC or BCH price increases, so do the fees by the same multiplier. $5 fees at 5,000 become $50 at $50,000. .3 cents only turns into 30 cents at the same rate.
And maybe some miners will accept lowers fees. But indeed it will increase fees on the short term

I don't know if we can easily lower that limit. Because if you have to update your node to lower that limit then not everyone will do it and .1 sats/b will propagate less easily than 1
Actually, my dumbass math is probably wrong. If it's .3 cents *10 it would only be 3 cents.
