This is where u lose me @ED. I'm asking for a successful biz example. Not a nation state which extracts money from its citizens through violence (taxation) to exist. Also, provide example not from past.
Think about it. Yugoslavia was producing its own food, bicycles, skis, clothes, cars, ships, military vehicles, aircraft etc, exported also. is this enough successful business for you?
Let me add few more, raw materials, power production, building infrastructure, even overseas (example Libya, Syria, Iraq), had its own TV stations, music and movie industry.
Yugoslavia was one of the best yourist destinations, people from all over Europe came for holidays, summer and winter. We produces white goods also, and exported it. Enough businesses?
