However, the cult of Einstein fully embraced special relativity as mainstream science. A veritable law of nature. Positive results from Michelson were dismissed as observational error.

Were they within the bounds of statistical error? has new and improved equipment and techniques been used and found anything different?

They don't do this experiment anymore. They fear it. It should be repeated in interplanetary space to put the whole thing to rest for good but they're terrified of what they may find.

Yeah I don't think that is actually accurate. From the link You posted, further tests only further shows the false premise of the idea. Same reason we moved on to the germ theory, etc

That Wikipedia bias. The final experiments done were showing about 1/3 of the shift that "should" have been observed. But if relativity is true that number should be ZERO.

So why have you never heard of the Michelson - Morley experiment? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that these EinsteinIan physicists invented the nuclear bomb and reactor?

Imagine the repercussions of admitting that a cornerstone of their cosmological model was false? That'd be trillions in reaserch money down the toilet. A century of "discoveries" crap.

yeah, that's not how science works.

Imagine for example, that they found conclusively that the speed of light varies. The "c" in every equation for every single experiment would need to be recalculated retroactively.

Nuclear physics may be the greatest example of government quotas transmographying taxpayers hard work into ethereal feces(not to mention the piles of dead bodies).
