Unelected junk in the trunk
Every government has unelected officials. They are needed. I know Canada is smart enough to have senators be unelected. It means they are not beholden to partisan politics. It is good.
They are not beholden to partisan politics, only money!
They are not beholden to money since they do not need to campaign for elections. Thanks to them not being elected they get to actually think and vote based on critical thought.
