Military is a thing of governments and nations. Capitalism offers an alternative to war. Thanks to global markets we have less war.
It may be despite global markets (WMD all that), the world was the most globalized right before WW1, and it just recently started to reach the same levels.
How do you figure the world was globalised before WW1? Except for some treaties there was no globalisation until after WW2. Thanks to globalisation of markets we see less war.
