I am thinking to buy around 10 ETH today. It is so low and there is big fear in the market... isn't the best recipe for investment?

The problem I see with ether is competition. There are lots of competing platforms that could debunk it in a few years.
Ether has the advantage of a nice big unified cult of personality. BCH is much more decentralized lol, both definitely have the potential to pump really hard if some good news hits.
Generally true. But crypto doesn't generate profit so there is no way to tell if it's too cheap. Ether is still kind of expensive to be money. So who knows. But Ether is not for me.
