I am center left. I support free speech, and most importantly the right to be offensive. Especially since it is the right that lets minorities fight for rights.
But restricting free speech is basically giving extremely powerful tools to the state/majority, and I think the only reason that the some portion of the left is pushing against free ->
-> speech is because for the first time in some time they have the majority public and social momentum, they have become the moral majority, and that always wants less competition.
