Socialism may "work" as an economic system but not well. It is inefficient. Profits and losses in a capitalist economy creates efficiency.

Are you saying that corporations centrally plan everything in the economy? And monopolies are evidence of this? I would say monopolies are perpetuated through govt. legislation.

not sure the socialism connection, but limited liability allows companies to take bigger risks while socializing the losses.

In the former USSR half of the companies that made bricks in the entire country were not brick making companies. But if they wanted bricks to build with they had to make them

There is no specialization or division of labor. It is all vertically integrated which creates massive inefficiencies
