Crossover is already occurring. I think otherwise. Policy can slow it down. But I think fossil fuels are in their last 5 - 10 years worldwide.

Nah. A transition like that could easily take 40 years. Not everyone is gonna go out and buy a new car, much less electric right away.

Ride sharing will also decrease car ownership. Cost are going down. May happen quicker than 5 years. It will be cheaper to build new solar in USA than maintain a coal fired plant.
