Tha absence of any kind of planning/announcement regarding "Invitation code" is a showstopper for onboarding new authors. I certainly hope this changes soon
It sucks hard if they haven't resolved this by now... I don't think they have... They should just introduce a minimal fee for publishing new articles (10 cents or less) - to stop spam
No one really knows what precisely 'the problem" actually is, which indicates the problem may be something in a completely different universe from what we think it is.
This seems a collision between different commitments and the difficulty of the "problem".
This is why open-source projects have a distinct advantage - people can suggest solutions.
