Why did Tether even need to type in 50mill or 5bill?
If they really had usd deposits first,then they should be able to auto match the same figure into usdt.
Hell even a simple copy n paste from usd to usdt would work.
i think the tether thing was to actually start buying out the sellers. get hype about a 5bln print, every1 starts buying, then dump

you are right but also I think they had inside knowledge of the "accident" to gain a huge advantage on margin.
