Foreign aide is not as good. Taking in refugees is better. Foreign aide is often more about political influence more than help. Preventing them from turning to an enemy for help.

there is some point (idk exactly) where refugees change the culture of the country that adopts them, especially if they are not integrating well.

It might sound bad, but technically immigrantion brings the best people, and leaves behind the rest. Immigrants tend to be the middle class and better educated from those nations.

Eg ppl in states like IL and CA voting for high taxes & social programs, running their states budgets into the ground then moving to places like Austin & Denver & repeating the cycle.

If these people are so qualified why are there so many issues in their countries, how does the west know they won’t bring the problems with them,

Often the systems in their nations are broken, or socialist, etc. Those who can get out do so. When given freedom most people can thrive, and population is an asset.
