Tha absence of any kind of planning/announcement regarding "Invitation code" is a showstopper for onboarding new authors. I certainly hope this changes soon
It sucks hard if they haven't resolved this by now... I don't think they have... They should just introduce a minimal fee for publishing new articles (10 cents or less) - to stop spam
No one really knows what precisely 'the problem" actually is, which indicates the problem may be something in a completely different universe from what we think it is.
This seems a collision between different commitments and the difficulty of the "problem".
This is why open-source projects have a distinct advantage - people can suggest solutions.
It's pretty bullshit. No explanation or anything. How can they expect anyone to take it seriously. "Oh you can earn tips from the handful that are already there." But it can't grow!
