I disagree with Craig Wright. Banning anonymity isn't going to solve the worlds problems and kill off lying and cheating. The idea that it's even possible is naive at best and deceptive and malicious at worst.

Cite CSW or strawman argument.
As far as I know CSW is not trying to ban anonymity. He is creating an accountable open blockchain with privacy.
It is not in his power to ban anything.

If CSW wants the entire world to adopt Bitcoin, understanding and hoping that it destroys anonymity in his words "all its forms" it's pretty cut and dry.

And he's partially right. It is, in the hands of the few. Particularly when the few can deprive the many of their own anonymity.

The solution to fighting the anonymity of others is to gain anonymity of your own. It's paramount to the gun control argument.

Strip everyone of anonymity and the only ones left with it are those who seek to do harm, and the majority are powerless to defend themselves.

Put everyone on the same system of transparency and bad actors will simply hop to another. The every man will be using Bitcoin and the conman and politician will simply use Monero.
