they looked at nodes. Nodes with BU worked better than ABC or SV. But it was not mentioned what HW was used. ABC potato node will be worthless comparing to high end SV node.
To me a large count of low quality nodes is a sign of astroturfed support, not "community support". It's just another proof of social media.
Non mining nodes are worthless when deciding on consensus.
