Always wonder what the screen shows in those enthusiastic stock photos, hope it is something like this , anyways, always fun to send BCH to newcomers.

When we say things like "Backup your seed, public/private key, immutable public ledger, address reuse, 0-config, block time, miner fee" ect we sound like the LN guy to the uninitiated.

Maybe we can in the layers on top - like regular people using Bitcoin banks though they will also have the possibility to hold their own keys which is what gives the freedom.

The important part is to have the option, people should be free to chose if they want to be their own bank or if they want their bank to the their bank. Everyone is free to chose:)

There's a lot of details you have to get used to in the beginning. Can we ever prevent that with a new system?

Mobile wallet with a BCH/Local currency amount listed is as good as it gets currently, the only thing that needs to be done is writing and storing the seed, but that is done in setup.

And then you need to buy it which is a whole process in itself.

You used to be able to create an account on a site like localbitcoins and just do a bank transfer, no ID, no KYC, just go in an buy. Hopefully it becomes easier to buy with debit cards

Yes, unless you are able to take it as a payment method as an entrepreneur, there are people who get paid in Crypto (at an discount), it used to be easier to buy Bitcoin ironically.

"it used to be easier". When? I am quite new (January 2017)
replied 2341d
Around 2015-2017 it was possible to buy Bitcoin directly from others using wire transfer without KYC on for example localbitcoins.com, it depends on where you live in the world.
