At the same time I’m not in favor of legally forcing additional punishments for any ‘harmful’ lifestyle. e.g. jailing addicts, taxing sugar, taxing alcohol, taxing cigarettes.
You already answered my question about taxation, and I share your sentiment about it being an additional punishment that is not justifiable. Someone being addicted will make them pay.
