Developers of a blockchain patent app could market to said existing institutions in addition to inventors and dreamers. But simply posting plans on memo establishes evidence of claim
There is no reason why patent offices in established public institutions could not integrate with the blockchain, especially with the evolution of a smart contract based app to help.
The blockchain can serve as the official record of claims and more efficiently assist in claim dispute resolution.
Using Memo and the blockchain intentionally as evidence in support of a claim has the potential to eventually reach debate in the legal system, which would add legitimacy and precedent
Additionally, expanded real world use case for a sytem that existsand cod benefit from blockchain integration would contribute to the demand for both bitcoin and blockchain
