I hate it when Roger promotes /r/btc as free speech. It's fucking not!
replied 2772d
Roger is referring to mods on /r/btc/ not directly sitting and deleting/manipulating posts and banning users outright for even the slightest of differing opinions, unlike /r/bitcoin/

Still I have seen some things that was removed where I was like "WTF why is that". I think the path forward is no admin at all - like here on Memo.

Sure. But I am pretty sure that Reddit in general will never allow that.

Too many anti-CSW shills, if you ask me. The guy clearly has merit, even if he was a total liar...

Compared to r/bitcoin it is free speech - even if it's not perfect

Why do they moderate r/btc ?

They enforce basic rules: No asking for votes, delete duplicate posts, ban proven scammers, ban excessive abusive users... Mod-logs are open to inspect

Reddit by it's nature is censored. I hope Roger is smart enough to know that it's a damned if you do damned if you don't game. A lot of ancap types seem okay with mob-rule tho, so idk

By its nature is censored?

I'm not sure if it was created to be an establishment propaganda arm - but it absolutely is one. It's a "free speech" Trojan horse. An NPC factory.

Then why do people and why did people ever, use it?

So it's reddit who removed it when I see some posts saying "[removed]" ?

Could be the original poster removed it themselves. Check the mod-logs. My major point is that vote brigading, post sliding etc. is easy. Also Reddit has been caught editing posts.

where can I find the mod logs?
