Your response makes no sense. What unpaid work? What does your desire to buy sex have to do with the labour theory of value? I dont think you understand the discussion.

Economic value of a service IS determined by the pleasure one gets from it. Do i need to use drawrings to help you? Marx was a village idiot who con men used.
replied 2261d
No, that is not what determines the value of the service. Supply and demand set that value. Even for sex workers.

Demand is determined my the pleasure one gets from it. Supply follows that demand. So the pleasure determines everything else. Do i need to make drawrings for you?
replied 2260d
No, demand has to do with the amount of people seeking sex workers services, and the amount of sex workers providing those services.

Demand is determined by the pleasure people get from it. The more pleasure they get the more they'll pay. It starts with the amount of pleasure.
replied 2259d
You seem confused. The pleasure could be better understood as the product that is demanded. The demand is about how many people seek the product.
replied 2259d
Yes, and the better the pleasure the higher the demand.
replied 2259d
The better the product the higher the price. It allows you to be on the high end of that supply, to which there will be less demand for due to the higher price.

Can we just agree that Marx was an idiot?
