I'm not saying you're wrong, but can you tell me what other forms of crypto currency involvement there are? To me it seems like it's all tied together.
Usage! like social media (Memo), tipping, texting, remittances to family / friends back home in poorer countries, charitable giving like EatBCH to feed the kids in Venezuela, etc.
I forgot PURCHASES too, I can buy beer and food from the local pizzeria, bought a hardware wallet online, shirts, stickers, etc...
None of those sorts of involvement requires “checking the price” or it to go up, actually stability would probably be better, but sure I want it to go up over time, my investment
All I'm saying is the price is built in. Until BCH reaches mass adoption, you need to know its value in fiat for now.
