Umm... what makes you think having it on imgur or twitter will prevent that? Ever heard of Tumblr?
I just think that is his reasoning. I am not saying you can't, but if all images appeared it could get pretty nasty in here. Lots of people want to ruin BCH you know.

we need a decentralized way to filter that out. porn is very subjective anyway. ie what exactly is porn? what about erotica? should that be allowed? what's the difference? ...
It's trivial to remove that content from the front end. memo dev could censor anyone/anything.
That's why I read this from Member. Open source client AND server side!
