🖼 Louvre Director Laurence Des Cars says the museum is considering moving Da Vinci's Mona Lisa to a separate room in the basement to make the masterpiece "less disappointing" for visitors and redirect some tourists to other parts of the museum.

The new underground space will be part of the future reconstruction of the Grand Louvre and a new entrance to the museum, allowing tourists to bypass the glass pyramid and see only the Mona Lisa, the director adds.
