Did GDP go up as well during the wars, or just the governments spending in proportion to the GDP?
idk, I think both went up 🤷♀️. IIRC gov spending is part of GDP, so heavy gov spending would increase GDP & (all else constant) its percent GDP. not sure if gov debt is sub
