not reading 49 pages. don't even care if the earth is flat or round or resting on turtles. don't care if cold fusion works or is fusion at all. when I have free electricity I'll care.

Care if billions are being wasted on hot fusion when there's a simple, decentralized alternative? Maybe that's why it gets no attention or funding and ppl associate it with flat earth?

If its so simple and decentralized why not just build it? What satoshi did. You think anyone would refuse cheaper energy?

Some folks here seem to be working on it https://www.teamscotia.com

cool, hope it works. this is an issue with having state funded science. range of topics allowed is limited.

I think the energy industry(oil and "green") is a lot like the pharmaceutical industry(and the banking industry). A monopoly fueled by public subsidy.
replied 2832d
Why not make decentralized energy production devices for places that need it most (e.g. remote)?
replied 2832d
Energy, pharma & banking have many favorable laws that prop up their monopolies. Doesn’t stop decentralized solutions (see BCH). Also doesn’t stop international efforts.

BCH is a tiny drop in the bucket of world finance. I'd say it's smaller proportionally than cold fusion reaserch.
replied 2832d
doesn't matter how small it is now (e.g. internet). important part is different solutions can be tried.

I mean both projects are under heavy attack. Natural/alt medicine is under constant CDC/MSM propaganda attack. They freaking killed Tesla.

Turns out its from the innovators dilemma. Basically, the new tech slowly eats away at entrenched market interested until they take over the market.

IIRC the gist is that established companies dont know where to focus their research money. (eg which crypto currency to develop for)
replied 2829d
Would have to think the same thing would happen with BCH/banks or fiat.

sorry this took forever to respond to. I very vaguely remembered this story about steel mills being disrupted but couldn’t remember where it was from
