I don't know, to me it seems people are overrating the Barbara Streisand effect. Sure, sometimes it works, other times the bad guys manage to quench stuff
Here in particular we would be gambling the future of BCH that it will work. Also, if the chinese get interested in BCH as censorship resistor the attack on it will be stronger
