Wouldn't supprise me if there is multiple big player saboteurs within BCH. Heard rumors some other coins were token over by multiple saboteurs (Monero ect.). Hence the big splits?

IMO we must avoid a split. We can't split continuously

splits definitely reduce faith from newbs. but how can they be "stopped"

They can't. Let miners decide and go by majority hashrate. We can have a minority chain but I think it's not a problem if it's not that big. Bitcoin Clashic for example.

What would there be to avoid? I can't see a way in which we would split at this moment..

If ABC implements Pre-consensus

Pre-consensus does not change consensus rules. So, even if one client implements something like that, the network is still working on the same consensus rules.

Why are people talking about split in the chain then? :O

Drama.

2) ... the pre-consensus rule that the other miners use, then they will reject to build on top of that block. That would create a split, right?
homopit

No, no split. A valid block is mined, and all miners start to extend on it. Pre-consensus does not interfere with consensus rules.

Hm ok. then we should shut down this meaningless drama.

1) So let's say some miners use pre-consensus and then others don't. Then a miner not using pre-consensus includes a tx (potentially double spend) that was not agreed on in .....

I'm happy that BCH is very good as it is right now. Maybe if we split again will prove that we do indeed need dictators in this world to show which path to go? ;)
