📱The Japanese cabinet has approved a bill that will hike fines imposed on tech companies for restricting third-party developers from selling their smartphone applications on app stores, media report.

🔍Under the new regulations, operating system providers that fail to comply with them will face a fine of 20% of their domestic revenue gained through anti-competitive practices and a fine of 30% in case of repeat offenses.
