A story about Krishna and his companion on a journey:

At the end of the first day's walking, they came to the mansion
of a wealthy man and asked if they could rest there for the night.

The wealthy man commanded one of his servants to show them to the cattle shed

where they found a place to sleep in the straw.

On leaving in the morning, Krishna cast a spell over the man that caused his wealth to double.

The following evening, they came to the house of an impoverished farmer who had only one cow, whose milk he relied on as a source of nourishment
and income.

They asked the farmer for a place to stay.

In response he cleared out his own modest bedroom for them, shared his meagre evening meal with them, and himself went to sleep in the shed.

The next morning Krishna thanked the farmer and cast a spell on his cow that caused it to become sick and die.
