In the US the college admissions actively discriminates against East Asians to keep their numbers low in elite universities (Lowering their SAT score to keep their numbers down).
Which is my point. That doesn't mean they are taking over. It just means their group has a better average toward those skills. So they will have more exceptional individuals.
I am against treating people different based on which group they are in, so on that alone I am against any form of affirmative action or group based quotas anywhere.
Me too. Best to let the best succeed. Equality of outcome will never emerge from equal opportunity. So it is best to ignore what group an individual belongs to.
The exception comes in if there are laws and quotas that are based on groups, then it makes sense to take the group into account. That is the tragedy of putting in quotas in general.
In the US it is a special case where they grant green cards to geniuses from all over the world, so the highest performing (economic) group median are entrepreneurs from India.
