🛩 Dubai authorities plan to make the Al Maktoum International Airport, located in the southwest of the emirate, the world's largest, with a capacity of up to 260 million passengers, and it will take over all operations of Dubai International Airport, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum says on X.

"The airport will accommodate 400 aircraft gates and feature five parallel runways. New aviation technologies will be employed for the first time in the aviation sector," Al Maktoum adds.
