idk how you'd judge success in this case but humans are likely the only 'virus' that has spread to such diverse environments & have a 'lifetime' OOM more than other viruses.

& viruses never invented anything. but they as a class might be able to survive some extreme places.

Plenty of animals, bacteria and plants that outclass humans in everything but one single thing: Going to the moon/space /running. But Tardigrade can live in space, so there is that:P

I'm constantly shocked at how much people resent their own consciousness. The human race will never be a successful if we can't learn to be thankful.
