There were almost no tourists. Not even in Vientiane. There were almost no cars. And almost no one spoke English. What's there like now?
I would have loved to see it that way. It is so different now, in the cities many speas english, the tourism industry is big now. In many places there are tourists everywhere
But if you try to avoid cities and touristics places and go in the wild, you see no foreigners. It is still a beautiful country if you try not to bother about tourists^^
