I think those are people who are easily susceptible to bandwagon fallacies. BTC will become like the pre-May 15 BCH fork, still running but nobody will pay money for those coins.
They'll be collectors items, like Zimbabwe dollars. "Look at my BTC balance I bought for $10, a thousand bitcoins once worth $20 million!"
