In capitalism you can live in a socialist community. In socialism you cannot live in capitalist community
You can't really construct socialism within a free capitalist society, since socialism relies on coercion to get funds from taxpayers. Anyone in the commune could just refuse to pay.
I guess you could do a voluntary version of socialism within a small group. Like you could argue that the nuclear/extended family is a socialist organization.
