I used to use i3 for maybe a year or so. It wasn't terrible, but I lost interest over time. I can't remember all the details off the top of my head, but there were problems
I wanted to use the whole screen often, and the tiles just did not come up as super central. There was some control-thing I couldn't do with the windows, like "freely" move a window
I don't mean moving windows as in outside of tiles, I mean more like I have a tile "slot" where i want to put an existing window from another "slot" and it was a bit of a pain.
Maybe the worst part had something to do with the system for starting applications. There was some need for a lot of goat sacrifices and praying to get that part working properly
Beware though, I'm a "grumpy all man" when it comes to these matters. I know stuff sucks when everybody else thinks it is "great". I knew CVS sucked when it was the only show in town
NOBODY thought CVS sucked back then, it was all "you don't understand it" back then. Now everyone knows Git>SVN>CVS, and that CVS is not at all good. Btw, I ment old, not all in parent
