I was at a club in Ginza last night, met a guy from Sweden who's been in Japan for 20 years. I'm sure he's got plenty of money, great job, economic freedom whatever, but he was ALONE.
I’m alone everywhere I go. I see that as being secure with yourself and not needing another to make you feel worthy
One could argue that it's not really possible to have a real close relationship unless you're secure with yourself. People who aren't always take a suspicious/defensive posture.
I worked at a ramen restaurant in Chicago for a year for minimum wage. The Mexican dishwasher ladies were always smiling and laughing. Why? Because REAL wealth is family and friends.
