You can observe that some do obey to his name: Check the view count when he makes a video on bitcoin.com YT channel with Roger Ver in the title and when someone else makes a video.
It couldn't be that his message resonates with a large (and growing) group of people. The only thing that has changed is the ticker symbol of the coin he has been promoting for years.
